Reformists responsible for electing Gayoom for the last time

every MDP candidate claims the reason to vote them is simple. I'm from MDP and I brought democracy to this country. People should realise that most of them are pure opportunist who merely went out of favor with Maumoon. After all this is the repent party in Maldivian politics. No matter what you did in your time serving as a member of previous regime or as an MP in the previous 10 years all is forgiven. You become a member you are as pure as a new born.

So I guess it will be hard to digest that the current leaders the backbone of this MDP had voted in the parliament to elect Maumoon for his 5th term. The victims who were shot to death in maafushi prison haven't even been buried when these people joined the dictators cronies in givijng him a total 50 votes.
